STEM Competition & Exhibition

On 11/9/2019, Paragon Private Secondary School has co-organised a STEM competition and exhibition with Bookhub Sdn. Bhd. This is the second year we organised this event. We’re very honoured to have officer from PPD Pasir Gudang (Maths and Science Division), En. Hasbullah bin Daud, to officiate the STEM competition and exhibition.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The learning of STEM is important in the 21st century as science and technology have become a part of our daily routine. Paragon Private and International School promotes the learning of STEM and integrates STEM into the daily teaching process to encourage knowledge application, ingenuity and creativity, experimentation, teamwork and problem-solving ability.

50 students from upper secondary level have been selected to be the facilitators for this event. 8 teams, consisting of 32 participants from lower secondary levels, are involved in the STEM competition which required each team to complete a given task within the allocated time with the materials provided. There are 20 stations with various STEM activities and challenges for our students to take part.

Our students enjoyed the competition and exhibition very much. The event was a huge success because all students showed tremendous support by actively participating in all the activities throughout the event.
